Board decision making

A BSB team has been engaged by Pitcher Partners to support the CIO of a large blood services organisation articulate the rationale and justify the multi-million investment in a core system replacement. The work involved the refresh of the IT strategy and a business case on reinvestment. The Board has now endorsed the outcome.

5-Year IT strategy

BSB has been engaged by Pitcher Partners to lead the 5-year IT strategy project of a leading Australian car part retailer and wholesaler. The work involves competitor review, identification of 5-year business needs, sizing of IT supply, articulation of the IT strategy (IT development, IT operations and IT governance) and communication. The Steering Committee has now signed-off the strategy.

Organisation capability assessment

BSB has been engaged by Pitcher Partners to lead the capability assessment of the IT team of a leading Victorian membership organisation. The work involves reviewing more than 15 capabilities such as bus/IT engagement, project management, IT development, IT sourcing and IT operations. The outcome is an maturity assessment on a 1-5 scale and a supporting programme of work. The work has now been signed-off.

Business Continuity and Continuity site selection

BSB has been engaged by Pitcher Partners to lead the selection of a Business Continuity Site for a leading Australian Super Fund. The work is a continuation of the Business Impact Assessment that BSB led for Pitcher in March 2008, and involves designing and running the tender process. Some complementary work involves workshopping Pandemic Planning scenarios with the Executive team.
